The Walk in my Shoes Project acknowledges the courage of women and men who walk out of domestic and family violence.

The installation is a display of women's, men’s and children's shoes, each with a quote from an individual who have succeeded in leaving domestic violence behind them.

We are using these quotes and success stories to create a campaign with a positive focus aimed at ending domestic violence.

The installation is intended to

  1. Provide the public with insight and education as they read the cross section of quotes and stories …..and share some actions we can all take to help change the story

 

  1. Inspire those currently in the situation of domestic and family violence who believe they can't leave.

 

  1. Give those who have escaped domestic violence an opportunity to celebrate their own success and to be recognised for their courage.

 

Find the installation at Erina Fair near Myer and Kookai from Thursday 15 May until Saturday 17 May.
