Supporting those in need
Alongside our customers, our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the people and communities across the country devastated by bushfires. We thank all the brave individuals on the frontline battling to save lives and properties. Erina Fair is a Lendlease-managed shopping centre. Lendlease has donated $500,000 to the Australian Red Cross, and has pledged to match individual donations from our employees. Many of our stores are also contributing to the Bushfire Appeal.
If you would like to donate to get involved:
•Visit the checkout at Woolworths to support The Salvation Army
•Visit the checkout at Coles to support the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
Erina Fair is also a registered Drop Off Hub for the Animal Rescue Collective. After witnessing the devastating effects of the Bush fires we are calling for all sewers and makers in our community to create the following items for the injured, sick and orphaned animals. The below is what we are looking for.
Sewers: Joey pouches, hanging joey pouches, bat wraps, quilts and blankets. No hand sewn items please (as requested directly by ARC).
Crocheters: Birds nests, blankets, joey pouch outers, animal jumpers.
Knitters: Blankets, joey pouch outers, animal jumpers.
If all customers can drop their donations to the customer service desk located across from cotton on kids, we will be sure to forward the hand made items to the Animal Rescue Collective who are doing a fantastic job at distributing the goods.
If anyone needs a little inspiration for patterns or fabrics more information can be found here.
Lastly be sure to stay up to date with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Donor visits. For more infomation on times and location see here.
We thank our local Community and urge everyone to get involved in any way possible through this challenging time.
